I used to mock mock drafts (not sorry), confused at why someone would waste so much time on predicting picks before free agency even started. Then the Eagles started trading for extra first and second round picks and my world changed. It is a goddamn meaningless blast, and I love it. Well, funny thing happened on the march up to the 2025 NFL Draft, I have a forum now! Instead of rummaging around the internet trolling through websites like a racoon through trash, I can broadcast MY mock draft to the masses and not have to read some idiot who has the Eagles taking a first-round linebacker like some kind of lunatic!
- Tennessee Titans – QB Cam Ward – The Mayonnaise Man was spread on a little too thick in the Music City and they’ve had enough. This team needs everything but should start by securing Ward. Anyone who watched a Canes game this year knew that they had the coolest guy in the stadium taking snaps. He’s the real deal. Don’t make this more complicated than it needs to be.
- Cleveland Browns – WR/CB Travis Hunter – What a mess. They should trade this pick to get off Watson’s contract, but they won’t. They should draft a new QB to take his job but they won’t. They should build out the offensive line but they won’t. Instead, they’ll either take a luxury like Travis Hunter or learn the wrong lessons and take Abdul Carter. Both are great, but the wrong guys for this roster.
- NY Giants – EDGE Abdul Carter – The Giants have played 1400+ games over their 100 seasons. Only 6 of those games have had a starting black QB. Would they draft Cam Ward or Shadeur Sanders if they had the chance? They should, but I don’t think they will. They do appreciate a good EDGE though and will probably like to stick it to the Eagles for the whole Saquan Barkley cucking.
- New England Patriots – OT Will Campbell – Not a stupid team with a coach who values the trenches. They probably already have Campbell getting fit for his jersey.
- Jacksonville Jaguars – DT Mason Graham. New and young decision makers all around. The GM comes from the Rams, so even though he grew up with a GameCube I am assuming he has heard of Aaron Donald.
- Las Vegas Raiders – QB Shadeur Sanders – This is the best-case scenario for the Raiders and has been my gut feeling for a few months now. Based on how Stewart just tested though, he could also be the pick. The Raiders usually draft speed and strength over everything, if you remember they drafted Darrius Heyward-Bey over Michael Crabtree and TYREE WILSON OVER JALEN CARTER. They can’t pass on Sanders though unless they trade for Stafford.
- NY Jets – EDGE Shemar Stewart – They desperately need a QB, but they need one who is ready now and will probably trade for Stafford. As much as this was supposed to be pre-combine, I can’t ignore what Stewart did last night. He just put up the best RAS score EVER for a d-lineman. He might end up going #3 to the Giants, but I can’t put him there yet.
- Carolina Panthers – WR Tetairoa McMillan – He is WR 1 or 2 in this draft and the Panthers need to at least try to help Bryce Young be good, right? This franchise needs something to be excited about.
- New Orleans Saints – CB Will Johnson – They need everything and don’t have any money to do it. They should trade down as many times as they can to infuse as much youth as possible. Instead, they will determine that because they traded Lattimore, they now must draft a cornerback. It will be the wrong move.
- Chicago Bears – TE Tyler Warren – This team probably doesn’t know what it’s doing. Instead of taking the best OT available in Kelvin Banks, they will instead determine that they need weapons for Caleb Williams.
- SF 49ers – EDGE Jalon Walker – SF went from having everything to needing a lot very quickly. Most of the defense is a free agent, Trent Williams is 37, and Deebo is basically gone. Assuming they don’t reunite the Bosa brothers, they are known to fortify their D-Line and could probably stand to do that first.
- Dallas Cowboys – EDGE Mykel Williams – Drafting a RB is absolutely on the table here, especially after what Saquan just did, but other than Zeke, Jerry usually knows what he’s doing on draft night. He drafts an EDGE to put contract fear into Parsons. The tactic will fail miserably.
- Miami Dolphins – Malaki Starks – They should also take Kelvin Banks but will end up taking Malaki Starks rather than just pay Javon Holland. Offensive line should be first, second, and third on their to-do list, but I can’t imagine them being smart instead of flashy.
- Indianapolis Colts – TE Colston Loveland – There is a reason everyone thinks the Colts are drafting a tight end and it is Anthony Richardson. He has ungodly talent but is not doing the basics. A tight end makes things much easier for the QB.
- Atlanta Falcons – WR Luther Burden – The guy running the Falcons is a bozo who does not understand draft value. Drafting a DT or any offensive lineman should be the goal, but he is definitely taking a receiver.
- Arizona Cardinals – DT Walter Nolan – They used to be really bad at this but have cleaned things up the past few years. Expect a safe pick.
- Cincinnati Bengals – DT Kenneth Grant – They have to take a lineman. They just have to. I refuse to hear otherwise. This team is really dumb though.
- Seattle Seahawks – OT Kelvin Banks – The need is an offensive lineman and there are offensive linemen. It is really that simple.
- Tampa Bay Bucs – LB Jihaad Campbell – I was tempted to take an EDGE here, but with Lavonte David on the verge of retirement that leaves a big void at linebacker. Can you imagine the Bucs without a premium linebacker? Not in my lifetime.
- Denver Broncos – RB Ashton Jeanty – It feels like they are going to trade up for one of the top two TEs, but for our purposes they are going to pick a RB because someone has to pick him, right?
- Pittsburgh Steelers – QB Jaxson Dart – Can they really draft a WR without a QB? They have been mediocre for so long, it is time to get things right again. I know Kenny Pickett washed out after being drafted just 3 years ago, but they have to do this.
- LA Chargers – EDGE Mike Green – They are letting whichever Bosa it is they have walk and need to add QB pressure. Green is the best EDGE still on the board. Obviously if a Michigan player is still around that will be the pick though.
- Green Bay Packers – EDGE James Pierce – Based on how they have whined over the Tush Push, they obviously need to get tougher. Maybe try having better defensive linemen?
- Minnesota Vikings – CB Jahdae Barron – The Vikings have a big problem in the division: everyone else has a better QB. This isn’t a QB problem, it’s a DB problem. They have to deal with offenses that love to throw the ball. Barron is the best CB on the board.
- Houston Texans – OT Armand Membou – CJ Stroud regressed this year. Conventional wisdom is to get more receiver help, but that hasn’t really been the problem. When in doubt, protect the QB.
- LA Rams – QB Jalen Milroe – Might they go QB??? They have a relatively young and talented roster. If there was ever a time for them to make the QB splash, it’s now.
- Baltimore Ravens – OT Josh Simmons – Who is the best player on the board? Someone will fall to them, someone always does. It will be exactly who they need too.
- Detroit Lions – G Tyler Booker – Detroit got all of its weird draft picks out of the way 2 years ago when they took a RB, LB, TE, and S with their first 4 picks. They all worked out. Now they go back to building the trenches.
- Washington Football Team – EDGE Nic Scourton – Everyone wants them to go get a receiver and they very well may take Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State, but this team needs defenders. Whoever is the best defensive lineman on the board should be wearing Washington colors next year.
- Buffalo Bills – DT Derrick Harmon – When they absolutely needed an inch to beat the Chiefs, they couldn’t get it. Everyone wants to get Josh Allen more help, but that isn’t the answer. No one ever outguns the Chiefs. The Eagles and Bucs have made it very clear that you need to get after Mahomes.
- Kansas City Chiefs – OT Josh Conerly – BEST AVAILABLE OFFENSIVE TACKLE!!! If you are looking for reasoning, go rewatch the Super Bowl.
- Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles – EDGE Princely Umanmielen – There is no way the Eagles are staying at this pick. No chance at all. They need two things in this draft though, defensive line and tight end. I expect those to be their first two picks. Whoever is the best available will be an Eagle. Princely had production at Ole Miss, is expected to go nuts at the Combine, and his first name is an adverb. That checks all the boxes.1
Big thanks to http://www.NFLMockDraftDatabase.com for making life a lot easier.
- For anyone who missed the Philly Bulldogs post and thinks the Eagles might take Jack Sawyer, the Birds haven’t taken a Buckeye in the first round since 1986! ↩︎
