11:30p Last Thing for Tonight
I think there is a good chance that Shadeur Sanders will not be drafted, but if any team is going to draft him, the Eagles have to be high on the list. It sounds crazy until you think the Birds signed Michael Vick and drafted Jalen Hurts after extending Carson Wentz. It’s probably not worth the sideshow, but based on our history you can’t rule it out. His draft value is so low now that you could sign him and cut him if you don’t like what he’s doing without losing sleep over it.
11:15p Eagles Trade Out
Drop from 101 to 111. We also flop 134 for 130 and get an extra 6th (191)

For 96, Atlanta gives us a 2026 5th. Cool beans.
10:55p Eagles Defense Ages
With the additions of probable starters Andrew Mukuba and Jihaad Campbell, I just realized that the oldest starter on the defense is Zack Baun at 28. Next is Reed Blankenship at 26

10:38p Seven Picks to Go
I feel like the TE ship sailed with Fannin, but there are still a couple out there. Joshua Farmer is the #1 DT still available according to ESPN. If I were to bet, I feel like this is the developmental OT spot who would be the swing tackle this season. That would mean Logan Brown or Charles Grant. After the Andrew Mukuba selection, I have less than no worries.
Wait a second, I just heard that Shadeur doesn’t have an agent. What in the world is he doing? I was just wondering what his agent was telling him, thinking about Vontae Mack and Bo Callahan in Draft Day…I guess nothing.
10:25p Shadeur Not a Steeler
What is there to say at this point? If he hasn’t been drafted yet, there is a real chance he doesn’t get drafted at all. If teams think he is too much of a side show to get drafted as a starter, then they certainly aren’t going to draft him to be a backup. I feel like the Raiders might be his best shot at this point. Milroe is different. I still see him as a possible Eagle or Ram, some place that will develop him as a back up and pump up his value. This is a shocker. Something’s definitely up.
10:00p Andrew Mukuba Update
The “knows ball” crowd loves this pick and I’ve heard that he’s smart, hard-nosed, a true leader, and just everything you’d want in a safety. Somebody once said that a great way to review a new player is to ask what his previous team says about him. Texas LOVES this kid. Going to put links here for Mukuba:
9:38p Taking Stock in Round 3
So far, the Eagles have a LB/EDGE and a S. That’s good. What else do we need? I would say a TE, developmental OT, fast WR, and a DT. Who is out there?

9:25p The Eagles Pick is Andrew Mukuba
He wasn’t on my radar, but he is a ballhawk apparently. 5 picks and a forced fumble last year. If he is our new CJGJ, then this is great, guy who is in the right place at the right time. Let’s hope he talks all the shit too. He is 22 years old and will probably have the fast track to starting. Let’s move on to the 3rd round while I try to find out everything I need to about this guy. (UPDATE: Matthew McConaughey approved!)
9:20p One Left
If I were to bet, I’d say the pick is Harold Fannin, but I have no idea. There’s no one jumping off the board to me. Putting this out there for posterity. Trade out is certainly on the table.
9:03p Five to Go
Who is it going to be? My main guys are all gone, but I wouldn’t mind:

I have a weird feeling the pick is going to be Mike Green though. I know I said earlier that that was impossible, but its just a thought creeping in. I would not like this.
8:38p Funny Stuff
Shaun Alexander’s kids wanted no part of being on stage. That kid just developed a complex about hating his birthday. Poor Jedediah (ouch). Also, Tyler Shough is going to be 26 in September??? What the hell NFL? Sanders is 23. On that note alone he should have been drafted higher. I am fully convinced that the Saints are just trying to be terrible this year for Arch Manning. Great plan to burn a high value pick guys. What is wrong with these teams?
8:32p Seattle Selects Arroyo
The Eagles just hit a crunch. Harold Fannin is the only top flight TE left. He might be there at 64, but I wouldn’t bet on it at this point. If anyone wants a TE (like Carolina who just jumped in) then they would want him too. If Fannin is gone, then I would expect us to make a play for Michael Mayer from the Raiders. Howie could move up right now if Fannin is his guy. Trades seem to be flying right now. 13 picks to go.
8:19p Raiders Trade Out
Why do we care? Because this sets the price to trade up. The Raiders just paid the price of a third round pick to move up in the second round. Would the Eagles be willing to move this year’s third rounder? Probably not. What about one of our three next year though? We don’t have to worry about this yet though because there are still plenty of guys worth taking on the board. See below. 14 left in front of the Birds.
8:06p Dallas Makes a Good Pick
Donovan Ezeiruaku had 16.5 sacks this season. He doesn’t seem like a star but just a solid 8-10ish sacks in the league kind of guy. Very Josh Sweaty. Colts selected an EDGE from OSU next. Could this be the much needed run on EDGE rushers we need?
7:56p Eagles Possibilities Coming Into Focus
We have had a few RBs taken already and some others we don’t care about. Only Emmanwori and TJ Sanders had to be on our radar. 21 picks to go. There are still some great names out there like:

The Saints take Tyler Shough. Things were already weird for Shadeur Sanders, but he has no floor right now. For Shough, this is an easy pivot to Arch Manning when they suck this year. This is SHOCKING. If this is just a means to tank harder by making Shough their QB 1, bravo.
7:23 Let the QB Free Fall Began
Just how far will Sanders and Milroe fall? It is possible that New Orleans takes one at 40, but without Cleveland who knows who wants these guys. The Raiders were a possibility, but they just traded their pick to Miami. Who knows what happens from here. Because of what they did in 2020, you have to think the Eagles are high on the list of possible landing spots. This will be kind of like Nakobe Dean from 2022 but to the extreme. To be clear, I think Milroe would be QB3 on the Eagles and a total develop and stash kind of prospect who would step into QB2 next season once we trade Tanner McKee for a haul to some jerk team
7:18p Seahawks Trade Up
Seahawks use the pick they got for DK Metcalf to hop in front of the Browns and take one of our guys. It was a pipe dream to think Nick Emmanwori would fall. To think I spent all this time trying to memorize how to spell his name and pronounce it correctly. Browns are on the clock. Its funny about using the Metcalf pick considering Emmanwori is about the closest thing to a physical specimen as DK.
7:00p Shadeur Sanders and the QBs
I’m not going to weigh in on the discourse behind Sanders right now, but here is what it means for everyone else. Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and the Saints need a starting QB. I think the Saints will probably tank this season for a shot at Arch Manning next year. If the Browns pass on Sanders twice to start this 2nd round, what happens? Pittsburgh doesn’t pick until 83. Are any of Sanders, Milroe, or Shough viewed as potential starters in this league? They might drop BIG TIME. It would now be up to the other teams to decide if they wanted any of the 3 to be their backup QB.
