On May 31, 1983 the Sixers swept the Lakers to win the franchise’s 3rd championship. 42 years today later, they are still looking for #4. The team has been sold twice and $2.5b has been spent on player contracts, but only 1 Finals game win has come of it. We are not even very close. Thankfully the Phillies and Eagles have 3 championships between them in that time.

My sister and I were tasked by our mother to bring her car from Florida to NJ and we recorded an episode along the way. Listen as the two of us whisk you away to 1983 and relive the last 42 years of Sixers trauma.

On May 31, 1983 the Sixers won the championship, sweeping the Lakers.  In the 42 years since then, they have been to the championship once, the world's population has nearly doubled and there are now 50 states!  Also in that time I was born, my sister was born, and our mother left her car in Florida and told us to drive it up.  So that's what we did during this podcast.
