The Sixers are faced with a choice. At 26-21, they are 6th in the East. 4 games separate Philly from New York and Boston for 2nd place while 3.5 games are between us and Atlanta and Chicago for 10th. We are right in the middle. Does the team go for it by cashing in draft picks, Jared McCain, and maybe even [gasp] VJ Edgecombe for another star, or do they shed salary and dip below the luxury tax line for the 4th year in a row. With just a few days to go before the deadline on February 5th, the Sixers could go either way.
