The big move at the NFL Trade Deadline so far is the Tennessee Titans trading Jeffery Simmons to the Bears and Quenton Nelson going to the Seahawks. I was fully expecting this to open the floodgates, but it hasn’t even been a trickle since then. The pipeline is still clogged. Thankfully though, this gives me time to tell you who is still for sale around the league:

NFL Trade Deadline

NFC East

I noticed something in watching the Eagles get smashed by the Commanders on Sunday Night, Washington thinks it is still alive. That seems crazy to me, but there is a prevailing thought around the NFL that if you can get in the playoffs, you have a chance. Well, there is no easier way to get in this year than via the NFC Least

Philadelphia Eagles: Moro Ojomo (DT), Nolan Smith (EDGE), Riq Woolen (CB), Hollywood Brown (WR), and maybe even Zack Baun (LB) if someone offers enough. I’ve heard Landon Dickerson‘s name out there, but he’s just been so bad.

NFC North

NONE! This whole division is still in contention and they all may make the playoffs.

NFC South

The South is the opposite of the North in that none of these teams are any good. However, that means that like the NFC East, they all think they have a chance to an extent. That being said, only the Saints may actually move some players, but considering they aren’t firing Kellen Moore (and they shouldn’t), they might not sell much at all to give him a chance.

New Orleans Saints: Alvin Kamara (RB), Cesar Ruiz (G)

NFC West

The 49ers are unexpectedly running away with the division. That’s not to say that they should be bad, but the Rams and Seahawks are both .500. That leaves the Cardinals who though trying to win, should understand the assignment. The problem is that they are a traditionally dumb team that never sells despite the need. Don’t hold your breath on any of these guys.

Arizona Cardinals: Josh Sweat (EDGE), Budda Baker (S), Jacoby Brissett (QB), Zaven Collins (LB)

AFC East

The AFC East seems to always be a Have and Have Not division. The Bills and Pats are usually buying while the Dolphins and Jets are usually selling. The problem with them is that neither have much to sell. They both signed their RBs in the offseason to easily tradeable deals but Achane is out for the season and Hall has missed 5 games

New York Jets: Minkah Fitzpatrick (S), Breece Hall (RB), Will McDonald IV (EDGE), Kinglsey Enagbare (EDGE), Andre Cisco (S)

Miami Dolphins: Jordyn Brooks (LB), Joshua Uche (EDGE), Julius Brents (CB), Greg Dulcich (TE)

AFC North

While the standings look a lot like their NFC counterpart, that hides that the Ravens are done. With Lamar Jackson not only out but in need of a new contract, Baltimore may stand pat but it would be understandable if they sold off EVERYTHING. This is an aging team with talent, but needs to reset not unlike the Eagles.

Baltimore Ravens: Derrick Henry (RB), Rashod Bateman (WR), Roquan Smith (LB), Marlon Humphrey (CB), Trey Hendrickson (EDGE)

AFC South

Unlike the NFC South, one team is running away with this division. Oddly enough, it is Brian Thomas Jr of those Jacksonville Jaguars getting the most trade hype. Everyone else is a total, inexplicable mess. The Texans especially were simply not prepared for this and have barely anyone they can realistically sell.

Houston Texans: Sheldon Rankins (DT), Jadaveon Clowney (EDGE), Kayshon Boutte

Indianapolis Colts: Jonathan Taylor (RB), Daniel Jones (QB), Josh Downs (WR), Donte Jackson (CB), Grover Stewart (NT), Charvarius Ward, Sauce Gardner

Tennessee Titans: Amani Hooker (S)1, Jermaine Johnson II (EDGE), Tony Pollard (RB), Calvin Ridley (WR), Alontae Taylor (CB)

AFC West

The NFL’s least important franchise has fallen completely on its face this year. Justin Herbert continues his empty calories approach to QBing thanks to his great hair, Jim Harbaugh ran out of steam a year early than his usual 4 seasons, and Mike McDaniel is a total fraud. They don’t even have much to sell. Total disaster for the other team in a city that already doesn’t care about football.

Los Angeles Chargers: Khalil Mack (EDGE), Quentin Johnston (WR), Tuli Tuipulotu (DT), Cameron Dicker (K)2

  1. Hooker rather shockingly leads the NFL in INTs ↩︎
  2. Dicker is the most accurate FG kicker in NFL history. How about that? ↩︎
