This is going to be a great weekend. Today will obviously be spent eating ridiculous amounts of food and gambling on the games. On Friday morning, the Bets family is headed to Philly to see the Birds and Bears square off on Black Friday. The weather looks great and it will be my son’s first Eagles game. We are throwing a proper tailgate featuring a deep-fried turkey and will be locked and loaded for what is a critical game for the Birds to get back on track. If this doesn’t happen, we need to Old Yeller Kevin Patullo and just let Jalen call the offense.

With that said, Week 13 was a disaster. There is no other way to say it. Going into last week I was sitting comfortably above .500 and heading towards a very successful first year. I asked my followers to “ride to glory with me” with a massive card that fell apart immediately with some terrible bets for the Friday Night Special involving Hawaii. It ended in a disgusting, sad, flaccid, inept, poor, and extremely sad 2-9 result.

There is only one thing you can do in times like this. You hit the board hard and look to break one off like Nate Dogg (RIP in peace sweet boy feel better xoxo) in this last week of the college football regular season.

We’ve got lots of great games for Rivalry Week. And lots of interesting spots since you can throw out the records of teams when they are playing their archrivals. You also have to consider the motivation levels for teams closing out disappointing seasons and teams needing a big win to boost their playoff chances.

I am going with limited research this week and simply going with my gut. I’ve consumed as much information as I could this season and achieved an exactly .500 record thus far through 105 picks. Cmon with this.

Happy Thanksgiving and see you all on the other side!

Navy at Memphis (-4.5, O/U 58.5), Thursday, November 27th, 7:30 pm EST

I am tempted to take the Midshipmen here as Memphis has struggled the last couple weeks. But the safer bet is to just pound this over. Both defenses stink and will be sluggish after eating pregame Thanksgiving spreads. I love this over and will be eviscerating it.

Utah at Kansas (+10.5, O/U 59.5), Friday, November 28th, 12:00 pm EST

Both defenses let up tons of points. Don’t overthink it. Pound this over.

Temple at North Texas (-20.5, O/U 65.5), Friday, November 28th, 3:30 pm EST

North Texas is a wagon. They put up 40+ points every week. I’m hammering both the Mean Green -20.5 and the over. This is how we win.

Texas A&M at Texas (+2.5, O/U 52.5), Friday, November 28th, 7:30 pm EST

If Texas doesn’t come to play in this spot, it’s over for Arch Manning and Sarkisian. I lived in Houston for a couple of years and one of the first things you learn is how much this game means for both fan bases. Buy the number up to +3 and roll with the Longhorns. This is their chance to salvage their season.

Texas Tech at West Virginia (+23.5, O/U 54.5), Saturday, November 29th, 12:00 pm EST

This one doesn’t meet the typical Rivalry Week profile. This is another massive line for our Red Raiders and I’m just going to ignore this and pound them again. It’s been that simple all year. Why change now. Take Texas Tech and make sure you get it at -24 or better.

Miami at Pitt (+6.5, O/U 50.5), Saturday, November 29th, 12:00 pm EST

I was born to take the over. This one fits the bill. Take the over and try to get it at 50.

Colorado at Kansas State (-16.5, O/U 50.5), Saturday, November 29th, 12:00 pm EST

I bet Colorado last week and got burned badly. Kansas State is going to make this a tough day again for Deion and co. Give me the Wildcats and make sure you get it at -17 or better.

Oregon at Washington (+7.5, O/U 50.5), Saturday, November 29th, 3:30 pm EST

This is a tough spot for the Ducks. I think either Oregon or Alabama loses outright this weekend and thus I am rolling with the Huskies as a home dog by over a touchdown to stay inside this number. This will be a hard-fought battle.

Vanderbilt at Tennessee (-3.5, O/U 65.5), Saturday, November 29th, 3:30 pm EST

A marquee matchup this weekend. Vandy has played great all year and is positioned in several key matchups to keep this one close. They know what’s at stake and will be extremely motivated. Give me the 3.5 points on the Commodores.
