Without any truly great matchups on last week’s slate we had a great chance for trap games. Everyone was making it interesting too with the Giants nearly knocking off the Lions and the Titans, Jets, and Cardinals all hanging tough. Alas, no one pulled it off. Instead, we were treated to a virtuoso performance by the Las Vegas Raiders and their dominating loss to the previous favorite Cleveland Browns in the Tank Rank Game of the Week. This week’s Game of the Week? Nothing as good as last week, but we do have the Dolphins facing the Saints and the Jets playing the Falcons. We’ll have our eye on both. Watch for the Giants as a possible upset on Monday as well.

Dishonorable Mention: Cleveland Browns (LW #2)

  • Record: 3-8
  • Overview: I know someone had to win their game against the Raiders, but the Browns looked like a level above. They went from being an unbelievably close #2 to out of the Tank Rank with this win. Shadeur Sanders has them playing competently and that’s the last thing you want as you quest for the #1 pick. They will be lucky to not win a few more games the rest of the way.
  • SOS: .479
  • Key Games: Titans (12/7)

#5 – New Orleans Saints

  • Record: 2-9
  • Overview: Make no mistake about this ranking, the road to the bottom goes through New Orleans. With games against the Jets and Titans, the Saints can seize control of this thing by losing both. Unfortunately for them, that also gives them the most volatility. That volatility includes this week against the Dolphins which is a very winnable game. I think they are bad and untalented, but Kellen Moore has them semi-competent, something that none of the teams ahead of them has. I think it is what will keep them from the top spot.
  • SOS: .490
  • Key Games: Dolphins (11/30), Jets (12/21), Titans (12/28), and Falcons (1/4)

#4 – New York Giants (LW #3)

  • Record: 2-10
  • Overview: On one hand, the Giants keep stealing defeat from victory in every way possible. On the other, living on the edge like that will eventually get them burned. With Jaxson Dart back and their dipshit coach gone, it is only a matter of time before they get a few wins. They play the Patriots on Monday Night at Foxboro and are ripe for the trap. The Giants will have a legitimate chance at the upset against a Pats team going into a bye and looking to wrap up their division against the Bills the next week.
  • SOS: .549
  • Key Games: Commanders (12/14) and Raiders (12/28)
