Last night the Sixers lost in double OT. This week, the Mets entered the Kyle Schwarber sweepstakes. I won’t go into the recent Eagles unpleasantness. But the Flyers, our break-glass-in-case-of-emergency Flyers, kicked some serious ass this week despite the 4 game road trip up I-95. Last game’s win over the Devils made it 3 in a row and 5 out of 6. They often make it harder than they need to, but this team has been a fun team so far. Help us Obi-wan Konecny, you’re our only hope!
Last Week:
- Road loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning 0-3
- Let’s forget this one. No one even likes Tampa.
- Road win over the Florida Panthers 4-2
- Flyers were down 2-0 and came back to score 4 unanswered.
- Emil Andrae scored and assisted, Michkov added his 6th, Foerster his 8th, and Couturier had his 3rd goal of the season.
- Jamie Drysdale with 2 assists.
- Road shootout win over the New York Islanders 4-3
- We ALMOST blew it, but a 3 goal lead was rescued in a shootout.
- Foerster and Couturier scored again. This time Trevor Zegras got in on the fun with a power play goal.
- Road win over the New Jersey Devils 5-3
- A 4-1 lead got a little close in the 3rd period before Owen Tippett put in an empty netter. IT was his 8th of the season and 2nd of the game.
- Michkov scored twice bringing him to 8 on the year
- Travis Konecny had 2 assists
- Trevor Zegras had a goal and 2 assists. He leads the team in points with 24, assists with 15, and is tied in goals.
