After a Super Bowl beat down moved into a lost season, the NFL was granted a short reprieve from the Kansas City Chiefs media suffocation that had been tightening our airways for years. Now with the team 5-1 thanks to a soft schedule that machine is about to tighten its grip once again. Just in time for that assault, news came out that the team has signed recently disgraced kicker Justin Tucker to its practice squad. Just another notch in the belt for Andy Reid who has made it a habit to employ the worst people possible to his football team. Here are some of Big Red’s greatest hits…
Tucker and Butker
Let’s get started with a reminder of why Justin Tucker should not be hired. Back in 2025, the Baltimore Banner reported allegations from multiple massage therapists who accused Tucker of sexual misconduct during sessions including improper touching, exposing himself, and ejaculating on the table. He was reportedly banned from several establishments. Another dozen therapists came forward to corroborate the story after the initial report. Tucker denied the allegations, but the NFL saw enough evidence to suspend him for 10 games to which he did not appeal. Until the chiefs signed him this week, he had been out of the NFL.
The reason he was signed is because religious extremist1 Harrison Butker has missed 5 of his 16 field goals so far this season. Unlike the rest of this list, Butker hasn’t been arrested and hasn’t been accused of any sexual or physical violence. However, he has made it pretty clear and public that women, the gay community, and Jewish people are on his shitlist for various reasons. He is the kind of person that believes A Handmaid’s Tale is a handbook in the same style that Wall Street bros idolized Gordon Gecko in the 1980s or Patrick Bateman in the 90s. Tavia Hunt, the wife of owner Clark Hunt, love him for this.
2026 Offseason
This offseason, DB coach David Merritt was arrested for domestic battery. Charges were later dismissed when his wife refused to press charges. Absolutely nothing happened in terms of investigation or discipline by the team or the NFL.
The team also brought back CB L’Jarius Sneed this season. While he was with the Titans, Sneed and an associate of his happened to go to an exotic car dealership in Texas where Sneed’s associate allegedly shot the owner. Sneed was indicted for failing to report the incident even though he was not the alleged shooter. The charges were dismissed 17 months later. One month after that, the chiefs gave him $5m to come back.
The 2025 Super Bowl Losing Team
Right around the time that Tucker was dealing with his situation, WR Xavier Worthy was arrested for domestic violence. He was released the following day and no charges were filed. However, he was hit with a restraining order for the incident, which really doesn’t jive with charges being dropped. There has been no new info since then.
Before Worthy, there was Rashee Rice who crashed his Lamborghini into several cars while street racing. He then fled the scene leaving several injured. The following month, he punched a photographer at a night club. For the street racing incident, he was given 5 years probation and 30 days jailtime. He was sentenced to another 30 days the following year for violating his parole. The NFL suspended him 6 games but America’s worst popstar husband Travis Kelce thought this was all bullshit: Free 4!
You’ve never heard of Isaiah Buggs, right? You are better off. He was a DT for the Chiefs from 2023 to 2024. The Chiefs released him after he was arrested for domestic violence and burglary. That’s nice. However, they didn’t release him two weeks earlier when he was arrested for animal cruelty. That was apparently fine.
Then there’s Kareem Hunt. Please, do not give the Chiefs any credit for releasing him in 2018 when a video came out of him pushing a woman to the ground and kicking her repeatedly. Why? Because the Chiefs forgot this was a problem and brought him back when Isaiah Pacheco was injured earlier in 2024. This was inexplicably publicized by the Chiefs and the NFL as a redemption story. Hunt was originally suspended 8 games for the incident, but his victim did not press charges despite the video.
The Super Bowl Teams
Frank Clark was a big part of the Chiefs defense for years. That’s probably why no one remembers that he was arrested twice for gun charges in 2021. In one of those events, police found an Uzi in his car. It’s okay though because he had made 2 straight Pro Bowls at that point, with another on the way. No suspension that season, but did get two games the next year before winning another Super Bowl.
Before the 2020 season, Bashaud Breeland was arrested with alcohol and weed in his car and then resisting arrest. The Chiefs had just signed him to a new contract. He was a starter though, so after his 4-game suspension all was well.
What about Tyreek Hill? He was dismissed from Oklahoma State for beating up his pregnant girlfriend. The Chiefs drafted him in the 5th round anyway. When his son showed up with a broken arm in 2019 the Chiefs and the NFL were pretty happy to hear that it couldn’t be determined who actually broke the kid’s arm. No charges. No suspension. No problem.
Here are some more quick hits:
- After getting suspended in college for aggravated domestic violence and burglary, Justin Cox went undrafted. The Chiefs swooped in and signed him anyway. Two months later, he was arrested again on similar charges
- In January 2022, Willie Gay was arrested for a domestic incident when trying to see his kid. 4 game suspension, comes back for Super Bowl.
- Remember Damon Arnette? The highly touted CB out of Ohio State was too much of a headache for even the Raiders after he purposely crashed his car into a woman’s car and fled the scene before being filmed waiving guns around. The Chiefs decided they liked the cut of his jib. They later released him because he was arrested again, this time for assault with a deadly weapon.
- Justyn Ross is a receiver for the Chiefs with 2 Super Bowl rings. Between getting those rings he was arrested for domestic violence. He won the first, took his 6-week suspension, and then won another. Considering how they handled Ross, Hunt coming back was no surprise.
- They employ punter Matt Araiza who was accused of gang raping a 17 year old girl, charges were not filed but civil suits were settled.
- There are a ton more drug and domestic violence charges.
Britt Reid
Britt Reid was a coach with the Kansas City Chiefs despite numerous drug related problems and pointing a gun at a motorist’s face in a road rage incident. That, along with being the shithead son of the head coach, is considered qualified in Chiefs Kingdom. In February 2024, while over the DUI limit, he crashed into a parked car and permanently injured a 5-year-old. The Chiefs simply did not renew his contract for this and agreed to pay the child’s medical bills. Bless them. Despite having a lifetime of being a fuck up and never paying for it, Reid’s 3-year jail sentence was commuted by the Governor of Missouri. He spent half the sentence under house arrest before being released. I can’t wait until they bring him back.
Too Bad for This Fan
One of the best parts about this organization of shitheads is that their #1 fan fits right in. Xaviar Babudar is known as ChiefsAholic. He reached a certain level of fame as a superfan for attending a ton of games. However, this lifestyle was financed by 11 bank robberies totaling over $850k. He’ll be serving 32 years in prison. Too bad he wasn’t actually on the team, he’d be home free.
